Getting all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs to thrive on a daily basis can be a daunting task, especially because fruits and vegetables aren’t as nutritious as they were a few decades ago. “The reality is that our food supply is depleted,” explains certified QRA practitioner and nutritional consultant Mary Kay Finn. “Over time, soil has become depleted of many of its nutrients, making fruits and vegetables less nutritious as well.”

Enter superfoods, which Finn explains can counterbalance the deficiency and are surprisingly easy to incorporate into your diet. “Making a superfood shake in the morning is an easy way to provide your body with super nutrition and feed the organs and glands with everything they need for the day. A lot of these superfoods contain essential fatty acids, healing sugars, B vitamins, antioxidants and protein, so if you make a shake with many of them, it will provide critical nutrients that are amazing for your health.”

The LivingHealthy expert shares her list of nine superfoods that we should all be eating regularly.
