The Paris runways may set the fashion rules in a different sort of way in the near future. The French Parliament is considering laws that would require models to be a certain BMI in order to work. Israel already has such laws. If this goes into effect, violators could face fines up to $83,000 and six months in jail. Obviously this is a touchy issue, but we wish the fashion industry would start to do this on its own. The idea that this would call for legislation speaks volumes. What do you think? Should fashion houses be able to use super skinny models? Or do they need laws to control what's appropriate?
