Only in fairytales do princesses sit around drinking tea wearing a diamond tiara. Kate Middleton, who’s been photographed participating in cricket, volleyball, ping pong, hockey and soccer (many times in a polished dress and heels), proves this just isn’t the case. And now she can add rock climbing and rappelling onto her list of royal fitness accomplishments.

According to Harvard Health Publications, a 125-pound person can burn around 240 calories from 30 minutes of climbing and rappelling. And if you ever want to do this regularly, a study published in the Journal of Human Kinetics found rock climbers have lower body mass indexes and body fat percentage. That’s enough motivation to pencil a session into your calendar, right? Now get inspired by the Duchess and Duke (look how much fun they’re having)!
