Visualize You Application - Before & After PicturesThe first weight loss morphing app is about to revolutionize the way we see ourselves physically—and it’s pretty much spot on. The Visualize You-Weight Change Viewer gives an accurate representation of what our face would look like if we lost weight. Essentially, it allows the user to see what is possible if they stuck to a weight loss program. Talk about inspiration to shed pounds.

The Visualize You-Weight Change Viewer app is a major step forward in helping people approach weight loss in a more informed, educated and fun manner,” said Dr. Michael Roizen, Chairman of Wellness at the Cleveland Clinic.

“Fun” being the operative word. Here’s how it works: After uploading a photo and entering your height and weight information, the application transforms your face from your current weight to your goal weight. And this is no sketch image, users are left with a scientifically accurate facial image.

“Visualize You…is a breakthrough in that it uses scientifically based algorithms to provide an unparalleled visual representation of what an individual will look like if they change behavior and lose weight,” said Dr. Holly Wyatt, Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes at the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. “The app offers individuals a clear-cut end goal for weight loss and provides them with an important tool to activate and achieve a successful program.”

The app goes beyond vanity, however. Developed by The Wellness Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center, and UnitedHealthcare the goal is to use the break-through innovative app to help curb the obsesity epidemic during a digital era.

The app will be demonstrated for the first time on the Dr. Oz Show on April 8th.  But you can try it yourself now by downloading a free version, sponsored by UnitedHealthcare, in the Apple App Store or on Google Play. A non-sponsored version can be downloaded for $1.99.
