I think of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram more as vices than virtues--lately I've been trying to train myself to peruse and post to them only once a day, in an attempt to unplug, de-stress, and attend to more important things. But a new study shows that sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences on social media can actually lower women's stress levels. Not so, though, for men, who seem to be immune to the benefit. Researchers theorize this may be because women use these platforms to connect emotionally, while men--don't? Big surprise there. Does social media make your life feel less stressful?
