When we’re on a gorgeous tropical getaway or exploring a new city, the last thing we want to do is give over precious vacation time to the hotel gym. And it seems that hotels are starting to pick up on this. The ‘New York Times’ notes a new trend popping up among various hotel properties: The offerings of workouts that get vacationers out of the gym. Whether it be paddleboard yoga or beach bootcamp classes, hotels are focusing more on making the ambiance or uniqueness of a fitness class (for example, offering personal training sessions with a well-known local trainer) the prime selling point. How do you maintain a workout routine when you’re vacationing? Do you enjoy the hotel gyms or do you prefer using fitness to enhance your vacation experience?
